Classes
Nursery Dance & Tap: 3-4 years, 45 minutes
Our nursery classes are a fun introduction in to dance. Each lesson is a new adventure as stories, mimes and songs are used to capture the child's attention and imagination.
Junior Classes: 4-5 years, 45 minutes
In these classes we learn the basics of ballet and tap. Still using stories and mime with props such as wands and scarves - and shakers to help develop rhythm and musicality, we start to extend the developing movement vocabulary.
Pre-Primary Combined: 5-6 years, 1 hour
Following on neatly from the Junior class, we continue to learn the basics of ballet still using stories and mime, but are now introducing tap and modern.
ISTD Graded Classes: 6 years - Adult
Primary to Advanced 2/Ballet, Tap and Modern
These syllabii are specified by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing as a framework for training young people to dance safely and professionally. Students may wish to take exams in dance as they progress through the grades. Whilst this is not at all compulsory, we strongly recommend participation. Dance exams are very different to academic exams. Students will not be entered until they are ready to pass and we feel that a great sense of enjoyment and reward can be achieved.
Adult Classes
Have you always wanted to tap? We have adult tap classes for beginners and those who have more experience (even if it was several years ago)! These classes are a fun and rhythmical way to exercise and our adult tappers regularly take part in performances.
